The Thymio robot was designed by the Robotic Systems Laboratory (LSRO) of the Ecole Polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) together with the Cantonal Art School of Lausanne (écal). The robot’s design philosophy was focused on assisting educators in developing highly effective lesson plans in 7 programming languages with a single, open source robot.
